Did LEGO just tease the upcoming Godzilla set?

The latest issue of the LEGO magazine features an unusual graphic in a City scene, greatly resembling a certain monster coming to LEGO Ideas.

Though many reading this are likely past the age where you can receive the free LEGO magazine, IndustryWhich5720 on Reddit is keeping us older enthusiasts updated by sharing an odd graphic in the middle of the latest issue. The double-page poster for the summer 2026 issue of the magazine focuses on some of the new vehicles in LEGO City and Speed Champions this year, including 77254 Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale and 60487 Yellow Taxi.

Look towards the background on the left side of this poster, though, and you’ll see a giant figure peering over the skyline. This creature bears a striking resemblance to Godzilla, as the fan points out in the Reddit post. They speculate that this might be a teaser for an upcoming release, and it just so happens that LEGO Ideas has a Godzilla set in the pipeline.

LEGO Godzilla by MattE720 was approved in June 2025 alongside what has now been unveiled as 21367 Tintin Moon Rocket. Whether LEGO Godzilla’s final set will be unveiled soon is currently unknown. Either way, the teaser is connected – coincidentally or otherwise – to the upcoming release.

Don’t necessarily take this graphic as an official teaser by the LEGO Group, as there’s no way of knowing whether or not the magazine team have had any communication with the LEGO Ideas crew. This may well be a coincidence, but it’s a good reminder that Godzilla was approved alongside the Tintin set, which hits shelves next month.

You can catch up on what is coming to LEGO Ideas in the future in our most recent guide.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
