Disney Pixar’s Lightyear has a brand new trailer

A brand new trailer for Disney and Pixar’s Lightyear has been revealed, following rumours of LEGO sets scheduled for summer 2022.

Following the first look in October 2021, a full-length trailer for Lightyear has been released online. For the unfamiliar, Lightyear tells the story of the character who inspired the toy for Buzz Lightyear in the universe of the Toy Story franchise.

Anyone still confused about the context need only know that this is not a Toy Story movie but does feature a different version of Buzz Lightyear. The trailer lasts a couple of minutes long and you can watch the video for yourself by clicking below:

After the teaser trailer focused mostly on Buzz Lightyear and the Space Rangers, this new look reveals more elements of the plot as well as a glimpse of a robotic figure that shares a similar, but more complex, design to Emperor Zurg. This might confirm the appearance of the character in the film.

For anyone interested in LEGO, the trailer might be worth a watch as rumours suggest that three builds with prices between $19.99 and $49.99 are due to launch in summer. We’ve already explored what builds the film might result in, with at least one spaceship a potential possibility.

Before summer arrives LEGO Disney is at least confirmed to be getting two new sets and a pair of BrickHeadz in March. Two Toy Story BrickHeadz creations also recently launched.
