Disneyland Paris LEGO Store receives flagship-level makeover

The LEGO Store at Disneyland Paris has reopened after a makeover, now featuring multiple exclusive decorations on the level of flagship stores.

DLP Report attended the grand opening of the newly redesigned store, which underwent a makeover as part of a transformation of the Disney Village shopping and dining area of Disneyland Paris.

The storefront is now much more prominent, with an outdoor photo opportunity featuring several giant Disney minifigures, as well as a moving Sorcerer Mickey Mouse sculpture above the doors.

The original design of the Disneyland Paris LEGO Store was mostly identical to other locations, save for a giant Fantasia sculpture in one corner. This has now changed, putting the Fantasia model in the middle of the store and adding several new builds alongside the usual retailtainment features that come with the new style of LEGO Stores.

These new Disney-centric builds include Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Shuri, as well as new decorations based on Disney properties above various sections of the LEGO Store. There’s also a Disneyland Paris castle poster and some attraction posters referencing current and extinct areas of Disneyland Park.

The latter would make for some amazing LEGO Insiders rewards or posters available for purchase at the store, but currently, you can only admire them in-store or online from afar. Compared to the original, more generic design of the Disneyland Paris LEGO Store, the shop’s makeover is a significant upgrade, putting it on the same level as many of the flagship LEGO Stores around the world with their exclusive models.

For those visiting Disneyland Paris anytime soon, it will be worthwhile to head into the redesigned store and see it for yourself. The LEGO Store will be hosting a LEGO designer signing on Star Wars Day, giving you another reason to visit.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
