Earn double LEGO Insiders points on BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 now

The LEGO Group has confirmed that BrickLink Designer Program sets still qualify for double points, so now’s the time to strike on Series 5’s remaining finalists.

While pre-orders at LEGO.com do not qualify for gifts-with-purchase, including today’s brand new 40766 Tribute to Jane Austen’s Books – which is free with all orders above £135 / $150 / €150 until June 27 or while stocks last – they do qualify for double LEGO Insiders points. The latest double points promo runs from today until June 23, and gives the equivalent of 10% cashback on all sets.

That includes the five BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 sets, which you’ll purchase through LEGO.com and are technically regular pre-orders (despite being crowdfunded designs). We’ve verified via the LEGO Group that these sets do qualify for double points, which are awarded based on the date of purchase, but you may not see the bonus points automatically added to your Insiders account when they ship later this year.

If that happens, all you need to do is get in touch with the LEGO Group’s customer service team and they’ll add the points to your account manually. So if you’ve been holding out on any BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 sets, now is the time to pull the trigger.

At the time of writing, all five are still available to order – but SleeplessNight’s Adventure in Transylvania is on the brink of selling out, with nearly 98% of its total allocation of 50,000 sets already claimed. If you’ve already placed your order for one of these sets with regular Insiders points, it may be prudent to cancel and re-order with double points – but you could risk missing out on Adventure in Transylvania depending on how smoothly that process goes…

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

Your article is not right. Call Lego group and ask their policy. Even though you might show you get double points when you check out, you won’t get them when they ship. Lego policy is no double points or gwp with bricklink orders.

When we spoke to the LEGO Group’s customer service, we were informed that double points would be added, if not immediately, then when the sets ships.
