Double VIP points available on LEGO Super Mario 71380 Master Your Adventure Maker Set

The LEGO Group is offering a little more incentive to expand your LEGO Super Mario course in February, with double VIP points currently available on 71380 Master Your Adventure Maker Set.

It’s the latest sandbox-style addition to the LEGO Super Mario range, taking its cues from last year’s 71360 Adventures with Mario Starter Course. That means there’s no suggested layout for its many platforms, enemies, obstacles and connecting plates – instead, it’s up to you to put them to use while constructing your own level.

The 366-piece set retails for £49.99 in the UK, which means you’d usually earn 400 VIP points when ordering from LEGO.com. That’s equivalent to 5% cashback, or £2.50 in rewards vouchers. With the current promo, though, you’ll net double that amount: 800 points, worth £5 in vouchers and equivalent to 10% cashback.

Ordering just 71380 Master Your Adventure Maker Set will also qualify for the current Valentine’s gift-with-purchase, 30411 Chocolate Box & Flower, but will leave you an agonising penny short of the free shipping threshold.

If you can find anything else to order – say, another one or two of this year’s Super Mario expansions, like 71382 Piranha Plant Puzzling Challenge or 71383 Wiggler’s Poison Swamp – and bring your total basket above £85, you’ll qualify for not only free delivery, but this month’s other promo set, 40417 Year of the Ox.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
