Evanesco! LEGO Harry Potter 71043 Hogwarts Castle has vanished again

LEGO fans have once again cast a vanishing spell on 71043 Hogwarts Castle by snapping up stock of the now-sold-out Harry Potter set.

If you’re not deeply familiar with the Wizarding World spell book, ‘Evanesco’ is the one you need to make things disappear – say, a pile of dirty laundry, or the professor for your next potions class. Or maybe, if you’re so inclined, the largest LEGO Harry Potter set to date.

That’s exactly what’s happened at LEGO.com this morning, as the 6,020-piece microscale 71043 Hogwarts Castle has yet again moved to ‘temporarily out of stock’ status in the UK. The LEGO Group is clearly struggling to keep up with demand for the huge model, which has made keeping up with its current stock status equally tricky over the past week.

Fortunately, you don’t need to sit by your computer constantly hitting ‘refresh’. Instead, you can let us do that for you using our automated stock alerts. Simply choose the set you’re after, whether you’re in the UK or US, and sit back and wait for an email telling you it’s back in stock.

71043 Hogwarts Castle’s departure from LEGO.com means it’s also come out of our Top 20 LEGO Sets List, making way for LEGO Art 31197 Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
