Every difference in the ASDA edition of LEGO City 60347 Grocery Store

There’s a new ASDA-exclusive edition of 60347 Grocery Store with stickers changing several elements of the shop and we’re taking a closer look.

60347 Grocery Store launched earlier this year and will retire, according to our sources, at the end of 2022. However, it’s going out with a bang as ASDA has launched an exclusive edition of 60347 Grocery Store just in time for the holidays. There are no changes to the model itself with a pamphlet featuring a selection of additional stickers to switch the generic branding of the supermarket to that of an ASDA branch featured around the box.

We’ve picked up this odd edition of 60347 Grocery Store to take a look at every difference in the ASDA 60347 Grocery Store.

— Exterior —

Most of the 13 stickers go towards decorating the exterior of 60347 Grocery Store, including a large triangular sticker to cover the sizable sloped element. The imagery on the provided pamphlet also advises moving the giant carrot to the stud on the left. Thankfully, it still stays in place without issue and doesn’t cover the ASDA logo too.

Two long black stickers can be placed on two of the three surrounding walls of the store with a third sign for grocery collections also included. The pamphlet doesn’t make the placement of all these stickers explicitly clear so we’ve taken some liberty with the placement of the green sticker on the mostly blank wall to the left of the entrance.

The pea suit minifigure can hold up a sign advertising the ASDA rewards program instead of a pun and the notice of electric vehicle charging in place of the regular parking symbol is a nice touch considering the electric car included in 60347 Grocery Store.

Otherwise, two boxes with a textured surface that wouldn’t usually be stickered are intended to be displayed outside the shop, but we’ll go into more detail on this design later.

Interior

The stickers are more sparsely-placed within the store, with the most notable difference being the ASDA branding above the cash machine and the two bottle recycling crates including similar ASDA signage in the corner.

The sign on the cash machine is placed over multiple stickers, which isn’t something that you would usually see in a LEGO set, though as long you’re not taking them two curved pieces apart, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Accessories

The two stickers for the various crates in 60347 Grocery Store have differing designs, one with a wooden appearance and the other reading ‘ASDA recycles’.

The wooden design could be applicable in other LEGO sets too and is the only one not to read ASDA or have any otherwise obvious brand significance. However, both are placed on the textured side of the LEGO crate element, a place where stickers usually aren’t present. It didn’t feel quite right putting one there, but it does give the familiar brick an all-new look.
