Every LEGO Back to the Future set ever released

It’s Back to the Future Day and the LEGO Group’s time-travelling endeavours with the franchise span exactly a decade this year.

October 21 is the day when Marty travelled back in time and started the trilogy of movies that has become an icon of cinema. Each year, the day commemorates Back to the Future and although LEGO Back to the Future sets have existed for 10 years in 2023, that’s only over the course of five models.

To celebrate Back to the Future Day and a decade of LEGO models based on the movies, here is every LEGO Back to the Future set ever released.

5 – 21103 The DeLorean Time Machine

Price: £34.99 / $34.99 / €39.99 Pieces: 401 Release date: August 1, 2013

Originally submitted to CUUSOO (the previous name for LEGO Ideas) by m.togami and Sakuretsu. Though it has long since retired, this is the set that started a decade of LEGO Back to the Future models and is still the only official minifigure-scale DeLorean ever designed.

4 – 71201 Back to the Future Level Pack

Price: £29.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 Pieces: 94 Release date: September 27, 2015

Two years after 21103 The DeLorean Time Machine was released, LEGO Dimensions’ first wave featured Back to the Future as two levels and a trio of builds in a level pack. This includes the same Marty McFly minifigure from the CUUSOO model as well as the only appearance of the hoverboard element.

3 – 71230 Doc Brown Fun Pack

Price: £14.99 / $14.99 / €14.99 Pieces: 69 Release date: January 19, 2016

71230 Doc Brown Fun Pack was part of a later wave of LEGO Dimensions but used a new piece (at the time) for his hair and otherwise matched the first minifigure of the character. However, this Fun Pack features the first and only appearance of a LEGO Jules Verne Train.

2 – 41611 Marty McFly & Doc Brown

Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 240 Release date: May 1, 2018

Following LEGO Dimensions’ last wave, a BrickHeadz Back to the Future set was released including Marty McFly and Doc Brown. This would be the last LEGO Back to the Future set for some time, but the wait would turn out to be worth it.

1 – 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine

Price: £169.99 / $199.99 / €199.99 Pieces: 1,872 Release date: April 1, 2022

10300 1024x937

In 2022, LEGO 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine arrived and is still on shelves to this day. This detailed depiction of the original time machine has accessories to match the appearance of the car in all three films as well as exclusive minifigures of Marty and Doc in their future attire, in case you’ve already got their original minifigures. As the only LEGO Back to the Future set currently available, it’s the best of the bunch to buy this Back to the Future day. You can read our review of the build by clicking here.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.

I don’t think lego should be advertised so much ive 2 kids age 11 and 13 my daughter really wants Harry Potter lego and my son really wants sonic, ninjago and jurrasic world, park lego but it is really expensive and being disabled and on benefits I can’t afford to buy it so for peaple like me it’s, annoying not been able to afford the things your kids want and when adverts keep popping up or there looking in the smyths catalogue it is heartbreaking I think advertising should slow down a bit
