Every LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts set (2024-present) – January 2025 update

Here’s every LEGO Harry Potter set you need to complete the most detailed Hogwarts yet – at least as of January 2025…

The LEGO Group is currently on its third modular system of Hogwarts sets since rebooting the Wizarding World theme in 2018, and for those fans just dipping their toes into the magical pool, it’s not necessarily obvious which sets belong to which format. If you’re starting from scratch right now, the one to aim for is the system that started in 2024 – which the LEGO Group is billing as its ‘most detailed Hogwarts ever’.

All the sets in that range released so far are still available at retail (though some are retiring by the end of 2025), with more surely set to follow in the second half of this year and beyond. Both previous modular Hogwarts series ran for three years (2018 to 2020 and 2021 to 2023), so the LEGO Group could wrap this one up in 2026. On the other hand, its magnified scale and level of detail could see it run for much longer…

Here’s a quick rundown of all the sets so far in table form. Scroll down for a closer look at each individual set, and don’t forget to keep an eye on our LEGO deals page for offers and discounts – several of them are readily available for at least 20% off, including 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall.

76426 Hogwarts Castle Boathouse

Price: £31.99 / $37.99 / €37.99 Pieces: 350 Release date: March 1, 2024 LEGO: Buy now

One of the very first LEGO Harry Potter sets in this new system offers an immediate demonstration of just why this is promising to be the most detailed Hogwarts to date. 76426 Hogwarts Castle Boathouse blows up a tiny section of the school to a proportion we’ve never seen before, establishing the scale for these minifigure-driven sets straight from the off. This one’s due to retire in 2025 and includes five minifigures, among which is maybe the best Minerva McGonagall yet.

76428 Hagrid’s Hut: An Unexpected Visit

Price: £64.99 / $74.99 / €74.99 Pieces: 896 Release date: March 1, 2024 LEGO: Buy now

While 76428 Hagrid’s Hut: An Unexpected Visit doesn’t necessarily link up to the rest of the sections of Hogwarts in a conventional way, it’s still very much part and parcel of the location and its grounds. And the level of detail in this fully-enclosed hut makes it more than a match for the other constituent pieces of the castle in this list, so make sure you don’t miss out on this one while it’s still on shelves – it’s currently scheduled to retire by the end of the year.

76430 Hogwarts Castle Owlery

Price: £39.99 / $44.99 / €44.99 Pieces: 364 Release date: March 1, 2024 LEGO: Buy now

The LEGO Group’s early strategy around this new Hogwarts system has proven slightly puzzling at times, because it’s seemingly prioritising parts of the castle that can’t really connect for the time being. Case in point is 76430 Hogwarts Castle Owlery, which is a standalone structure that sits apart from everything else in the movies. Chances are we’re not going to get a ‘Hogwarts Castle: Snowy Path’ set to lead up to this one. You’ll still want it to complete the collection, though – and it’s retiring in 2025…

76431 Hogwarts Castle: Potions Class

Price: £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99 Pieces: 397 Release date: June 1, 2024 LEGO: Buy now

The greater picture around the new Hogwarts system started to become a bit clearer in summer 2024, when the LEGO Group debuted 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall (see below for more on that) and the first of its interchangeable classrooms, 76431 Hogwarts Castle: Potions Class. This one works as a standalone set but can also fold up and fit snugly underneath the Great Hall if you so desire – perfect for tidying away after a play session with the kids.

76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall

Price: £169.99 / $199.99 / €199.99 Pieces: 1,732 Release date: June 1, 2024 LEGO: Buy now

The biggest LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle set in the 2024 system so far, 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall is the anchor to which several other sets are currently tethered – including 76431 Hogwarts Castle: Potions Class76441 Hogwarts Castle: Dueling Club and (to an extent) 76442 Hogwarts Castle: Charms Class. Each of those smaller sets can find a place in this one, while 76426 Hogwarts Castle Boathouse connects directly to it too.

It’s not cheap, but it is essential if you want this version of Hogwarts – and it’s easily the best and most visually impressive Great Hall yet. Bonus: it brings back the troll more than two decades after its first appearance in LEGO Harry Potter. You’ve currently got until the end of 2026 to buy it.

76441 Hogwarts Castle: Dueling Club

Price: £19.99 / $24.99 / €24.99 Pieces: 158 Release date: January 1, 2025 LEGO: Buy now

One of three new LEGO Harry Potter sets that fit into the Hogwarts Castle system for January 2025, 76441 Hogwarts Castle: Dueling Club is a tiny but accurate approach to a memorable scene from the Chamber of Secrets. The Gilderoy Lockhart minifigure will be the draw for many, but consider also how easily it can swap in for the tables in the Great Hall for a change of scene(ry). This one will only be available through the end of 2025, so act fast if you want it.

76442 Hogwarts Castle: Charms Class

Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 204 Release date: January 1, 2025 LEGO: Buy now

Demonstrating just how small Hogwarts classrooms can go is 76442 Hogwarts Castle: Charms Class, which slots nicely into either 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall or 76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons (so you can set your version of the school up how you like). It might not be much on its own, but as part of the larger system it’s a neat addition with a strong mix of minifigures for anyone just starting out with LEGO Harry Potter. This one’s due to retire in 2027.

76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons

Price: £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 Pieces: 651 Release date: January 1, 2025 LEGO: Buy now

The final LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle set – for now – takes the action to another disconnected part of the school (again, that’s only disconnected for now). But it’s the best recreation of this Philosopher’s Stone scene we’ve had to date, and even on its own 76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons is surprisingly flexible: you can display it opened out or closed up as a tower. This set is also currently scheduled to retire by the end of 2027.

At least two more LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle sets are rumoured for summer 2025, including 76445 Hogwarts Castle: Herbology Class and 76454 Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower. Head here for more details on those. Don’t forget to check out our retiring sets page for a full breakdown of when every LEGO Harry Potter set is due to retire – and remember that those dates aren’t set in stone yet, so bookmark it for regular updates.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
