Every LEGO Ideas set retiring in 2022 and beyond – March update

The fan-inspired creations of LEGO Ideas aren’t immune to retirement as the latest sets in the theme already have their final dates of availability.

With multiple LEGO Ideas models releasing every year, thanks to the growing popularity of the platform which sees the review phases expand each time, there must come a time when some of the projects-turned-sets must be removed from store shelves.

The end of 2022 will see this happen to seven models, including three that are based on licensed properties most of which have never been touched outside of the theme. It’s not all bad news though as there are plenty of builds sticking around until as late as 2024, meaning you can prioritise the sets retiring in 2022 before worrying about what is yet to come.

Added to the list of retiring LEGO Ideas models for March 2022 is 21332 The Globe, which is currently planned to stick around a full year longer than 21331 Sonic the Hedgehog – Green Hill Zone, despite launching shortly after it.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
