Eight new LEGO Star Trek minifigures are coming in the new original series bridge set, and we're introducing you to them all.
The second LEGO Star Trek set is hitting shelves on September 1 as 11385 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge will feature 1,701 pieces for £159.99 / $199.99 / €179.99. The set includes eight new minifigures of the crew from the original series, and we're on hand to explain who is who and what role they play on the Enterprise.
While we wait for this more affordable LEGO Star Trek option to launch on September 1, here's a closer look at the eight new minifigures in 11385 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge.
James T. Kirk
Kirk is the captain of the USS Enterprise, leading his crew into the unknown. As captain, he wears a yellow shirt, and the minifigure has two expressions for his confident nature and when things get out of hand.
Spock
Spock's first LEGO minifigure isn't quite as expressive, but has an alternate face with a raised eyebrow for when things aren't as logical as he would like. Spock wears a blue uniform and has a new element for his hair and pointed ears, which could in theory be used for other Vulcans in the future. Spock serves as the Enterprise's first officer and science officer.
Nyoto Uhura
Uhura's minifigure is one of the few in 11385 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge to have leg printing to complete her red uniform and boots. She comes equipped with an earpiece for communications as the ship's communications officer, and seemingly has just one face print. A beehive hairstyle completes her look.
Hikaru Sulu
Sulu is depicted with a yellow shirt in his first minifigure, with one face print that we can see. Sulu serves as an officer on the Enterprise with a spot on the bridge. Sulu has no new elements and only two prints across his minifigure.
Leonard McCoy
Leonard McCoy is one of the Enterprise's doctors and wears a blue shirt in his new minifigure. McCoy has two face prints on this initial minifigure and makes use of one of the oldest LEGO hair pieces currently in production.
Pavel Chekov
Chekov is the Enterprise's navigator and also wears a yellow shirt. His first minifigure features Will Byers' hair piece from Stranger Things, and two face prints, neither of which is new.
Christine Chapel
Christine Chapel is the second minifigure with leg printing for her blue uniform, as well as dual-moulded boots. Christine Chapel is a nurse on the Enterprise and has two face prints.
Montgomery Scott
Montgomery Scott, or Scotty, is the Chief Engineer aboard the USS Enterprise and wears a red shirt. His minifigure is only pictured with a single face print in 11385 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge.
Honourable mention: Koloth
Another minifigure that cameos in 11385 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge is William Campbell's Koloth on the bridge's screen. Koloth is a Klingon captain first introduced in the episode 'The Trouble with Tribbles'.
