Every LEGO Super Mario Bowser model revealed to date

The upcoming 71411 The Mighty Bowser might be the biggest version of the LEGO Super Mario villain released so far, but it’s certainly not the first.

The LEGO Group’s latest direct-to-consumer set was recently revealed, with 71411 The Mighty Bowser proving to be hefty in terms of both size and price. The 2,807-piece set should also perform triple duty as an articulated model, an impressive display piece and the ultimate LEGO Super Mario expansion set.

However, as amazing as 71411 The Mighty Bowser is, it won’t be the first time Mario’s nemesis has been immortalised in brick form. Take a look at every LEGO version of Bowser that’s either appeared to date, or will be available soon:

71369 Bowser’s Castle Boss Battle Expansion Set

This now retired set included the very first LEGO Bowser figure, albeit a smaller brick-built creation. As part of the LEGO Super Mario experience, players could face Bowser in a final boss battle, eventually toppling the villain from this throne.

71395 Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block

What appears at first glance to be a basic yellow question mark block opens up to reveal a loving tribute to the classic Nintendo 64 game. As well as having interaction with the main LEGO Super Mario line-up, the set also includes a secret mini-Bowser hidden somewhere inside…

71408 Peach’s Castle Expansion Set

Due for release with the next wave of LEGO Super Mario sets on August 1, this upcoming model features a throne room with spinning wall that reveals a brick-built Bowser lurking behind it. The version of King Koopa included with the model does appear to be the same as the one available with 71369 Bowser’s Castle Boss Battle Expansion Set, but we’re hoping the new figure will at least be a variation on the existing build.

71411 The Mighty Bowser

The largest version of the video game villain to date, 71411 The Mighty Bowser will tower over every single LEGO Super Mario set released so far. Although a very impressive build in its own right, the set’s eye-watering price might just be enough to prevent all but hardcore Mario fans picking it up when it’s initially released.

71411 The Mighty Bowser is scheduled to launch on October 1 and will be available to purchase for £229.99 / $269.99 / €269.99.
