Every LEGO tribute gift-with-purchase so far – 2024 update

The LEGO Group's range of tribute gift-with-purchases is expanding soon, adding to one of the most diverse ranges of promotional models to date.

From the Micro LEGO NINJAGO City collection to the Houses of the World range, the LEGO Group has had many series of gifts-with-purchases but the tribute collection is one of the largest and is continuing this year with the recently-revealed 40690 Tribute to Jules Verne’s Books.

While we wait for more details on how we can pick up the new Jules Verne set, let's take a look back through LEGO history to see what and who else the tribute range has covered so far.

40291 Creative Personalities

Pieces: 307 Year: 2018

40291 1

40291 Creative Personalities is arguably the gift-with-purchase that started the annual range, paying tribute to Hans Christian Andersen with an open-book design for its model that would later be referenced.

This initial tribute set could be argued to not be completely part of the collection with its yellow-skinned minifigures and an unconventional name for the range, but it's still paying tribute to a real historical figure.

40410 Charles Dickens Tribute

Pieces: 333 Year: 2020

40410 1

Keeping to authors, 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute was released in 2020 to properly kickstart the range and remains one of the biggest gifts-with-purchase in the collection to date.

It also features a record number of minifigures for the range with many exclusive prints to collect, based on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

40450 Amelia Earhart Tribute

Pieces: 200 Year: 2021

40450 3 1024x794

In what would become a rare deviation from authors, the next LEGO tribute set celebrates the life and achievements of Amelia Earhart and offers an exclusive minifigure of her.

The model depicts the Lockheed Vega 5B that she flew across the Atlantic Ocean alone on a display stand, from which it can be detached.

40579 Eiffel's Apartment

Pieces: 228 Year: 2022

40579 1024x768

40579 Eiffel's Apartment is the most challenging of the tribute gifts-with-purchase to acquire as it was only exclusively available with purchases of 10307 Eiffel Tower from launch for a limited time.

It doesn't follow the traditional naming convention of the range but we're considering it part of the collection, despite how hard it was to earn when it was offered.

40530 Jane Goodall Tribute

Pieces: 275 Year: 2022

40530 Jane Goodall Tribute was also released in 2022 to offer collectors of the range a tribute build that didn't require the purchase of a £554.99 / $629.99 / €629.99 set.

The model presents a section of a lush jungle with the famed Ethologist trekking through it, surrounded by a trio of chimpanzees.

40595: Tribute to Galileo Galilei

Pieces: 307 Year: 2023

40595 Tribute to Galileo Galilei is seemingly part of the tribute collection, despite being based on a project submitted by Firecracker_ on LEGO Ideas, also being part of the fan-designed theme.

The LEGO Ideas tribute set still serves to celebrate the life and work of Galileo Galilei though and its name confirms that it is a part of the multi-theme gift-with-purchase collection.

40690 Tribute to Jules Verne's Books

Pieces: 351 Year: 2024

LEGO 40690 Tribute to Jules Vernes Books 2 1024x680

40690 Tribute to Jules Verne's Books' threshold and release date has yet to be confirmed but we do know that this is the biggest LEGO tribute gift-with-purchase so far, celebrating three of Jules Verne's titles specifically.

The Nautilus submarine represents Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, the train is a reference to Around the World in Eighty Days, and the balloon pays homage to Five Weeks in a Balloon.
