Every project in the first round of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program

The first eight rejected LEGO Ideas projects that will soon be available for crowdfunding as part of the first round in the BrickLink Designer Program have been chosen.

The BrickLink Designer Program’s first round of crowdfunding is approaching quickly, with eight submissions needing to be chosen for builders to pick and purchase. Ahead of time, the final projects have been revealed, with a diverse collection of models ready to tempt fans of the rejected LEGO Ideas builds.

Out of the 31 models in the program, these eight were picked for the first round of crowdfunding – LEGO Observatory Mountain View, The Great Fishing Boat, Sherriff’s Safe with Combination Lock, Pursuit of flight, The Legend of the Bionicle, Kakapo, The Castle in the Forest and Particle Accelerator.

Long-time LEGO builders will no doubt be pleased to see that the return of Bionicle is nearer than ever before whilst Castle fans can be ready to add another fortress to their growing displays. Some smaller models also fill the round such as the adorable Kakapo or the function-filled Pursuit of Flight.

There are no current details on what the prices will be in the funding round, but we expect them to be calculated based on the size and with some input from the fan designers.

We’ll keep you updated as the first cycle of crowdfunding begins on July 1 and the rest of the BrickLink Designer Program.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
