Every up-scaled LEGO minifigure so far – July 2026

The ever-expanding up-scaled LEGO minifigure line is adding its first Pokémon-themed set this October, following today’s reveal.

Spanning a range of themes and brands, up-scaled minifigures have become a staple of LEGO Store shelves since their debut in 2021. 40868 Up-Scaled Red Minifigure is the latest addition to the line, bringing the total number of sets in the collection to nine. 

With the Pokémon Trainer hitting shelves on October 1, now is a great time to look back at the entire collection, starting from the beginning.

76393 Harry Potter & Hermione Granger

Price: £114.99 / $119.99 / €129.99 Pieces: 1,673 Release date: June 1, 2021

The first up-scaled minifigures to hit shelves arrived together in the same box. Released in 2021, 76393 Harry Potter & Hermione Granger remains the only up-scaled minifigure set to feature two characters. 

As a result, it is also the most expensive set in the line and has the highest piece count, although the printed faces look clunky and don’t blend particularly well with the rest of the build. 

40504 A Minifigure Tribute

Price: 599 DKK Pieces: 1,041 Release date: March 1, 2023

The standout up-scaled minifigure set, 40504 A Minifigure Tribute, is a LEGO House exclusive. Available only in Billund, the set is a 6x scale build of Captain Redbeard, bringing one of the most iconic LEGO Pirates characters to life in brick form. 

There was a two-year gap between this and the Harry Potter builds, and it was certainly worth the wait. 

40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure

Price: £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 654 Release date: June 1, 2023

Basic, but not boring. 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure is about as straightforward a build as the LEGO Group will ever produce, but there’s something appealing about its no-frills design. 

Plus, it’s the only set in the line to come with a minifigure alongside the build, which earns it bonus points. 

40819 Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure

Price: £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 694 Release date: March 1, 2025

40819 Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure is one of the weaker sets in the line. It’s not necessarily a bad model; it just feels like something is missing. 

With a two-year gap between this and the previous up-scaled minifigure, the design doesn’t take as big a leap forward as you might hope. 

40767 Up-Scaled Baby Astronaut

Threshold: Free with orders above £135 / $150 / €150 Pieces: 250 Release date: May 15, 2025

To date, 40767 Up-Scaled Baby Astronaut remains the only gift-with-purchase up-scaled minifigure, although ‘up-scaled’ feels like a generous description for such a small build. 

The design is accurate, the build is cute, and it makes for a solid set that remains fairly affordable on the secondary market.

40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure

Price: £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 761 Release date: October 1, 2025

The LEGO Group is fond of seasonal sets, and 40820 Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure is one of the best. 

It captures the classic LEGO Santa design brilliantly from the front, even if it does feature some minor inaccuracies towards the back. A strong set that you could be forgiven for keeping on your shelf year-round. 

40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure

Price: £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 Pieces: 793 Release date: March 1, 2026

The first of three up-scaled minifigures for 2026 (so far), 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure is only bettered by 40504 A Minifigure Tribute. 

Although an almost entirely blue model may not sound exciting, the design is excellently executed and gives an iconic LEGO character the respect it deserves. 

75461 Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure

Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 1,028 Release date: June 1, 2026

As with every new idea from the LEGO Group, it was only a matter of time before it reached LEGO Star Wars. 

75461 Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure is the most recently released set in the line, and the one that has sparked the most discussion. Some fans aren’t sold on the helmet, while others are happy to see the line travel to a galaxy far, far away. 

40868 Up-Scaled Red Minifigure

Price: £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 Piece count: 930 Release date: October 1, 2026

One of five LEGO Pokémon sets revealed today, 40868 Up-Scaled Red Minifigure marks the first time an up-scaled minifigure has debuted on the same day as the minifigure it is based on.

The hat size, torso detailing, backpack, and Poké Ball all look great, but the face print feels like a step backwards – reminiscent of the weakest part of 76393 Harry Potter & Hermione Granger.
