Everything included in the latest LEGO Fortnite update

The latest update for LEGO Fortnite just dropped and it brought with it a ton of new features, skins, and much-needed patches.

Epic Games regularly rolls out updates for Fortnite, some small with only a few minor changes and others that introduce whole new gameplay modes. V28.10, which dropped on January 23, falls somewhere in the middle, bringing some new features and skins that are already going down well with players.

Read on for a full breakdown on what’s new in the world of LEGO Fortnite.

Introducing Launch Pads

Most notably, Launch Pads are a fun new feature that has just been added to the game. Players can use this new Toy to get somewhere fast. Build a Launch Pad on the ground, jump on it, and then deploy a Glider to take to the skies. If you haven’t already, you can craft a Glider using a Level 3 Crafting Bench. Launch Pads can also be combined with Dynamic Foundations “for some extra fun”, according to the LEGO Fortnite team.

Fresh skins across Star Wars, Marvel, and YouTubers

More Outfits in Fortnite have now been redesigned as a LEGO Style, including a number of familiar faces from Star Wars and Marvel. It was revealed yesterday that three YouTubers would also get their own LEGO-fied skins. Here’s a summary of who’s new:

  • Ahsoka Tano
  • Finn
  • Jack Skellington
  • Loki Laufeyson
  • Scarlet Witch
  • Spider-Man
  • Star-Lord Outfit
  • Thanos
  • Wolverine
  • Ali-A
  • Chica
  • Lachlan

If you already own these Outfits in Fortnite, their LEGO Styles will automatically appear in your Locker and you won’t need to buy it again.

Other Fortnite Outfits are in the process of getting a more detailed LEGO Style, with replacements on the way. Here are the Outfits that received an updated LEGO Style with v28.10:

  • Cosmic Infinity
  • Crusher
  • Ex
  • FFC Sparkplug
  • Khari
  • Love Ranger
  • Skully
  • Snowfoot
  • Stoneheart

You’ll know if one of your Outfits is getting a higher-detailed LEGO Style in the future if it has a hammer and wrench icon in your Locker.

Express yourself

To go along with those new skins, Epic Games has also dropped some new LEGO-compatible emotes. Check out the video embedded above to see them in action, taking your digital minifigures through the Crossbounce, the Smeeze, and the Walking Pretty.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
