Exclusive LEGO World Cup Champions Edition set revealed – but only for Spain

The LEGO Group has unveiled an exclusive Champions Edition variant of its FIFA World Cup Trophy to celebrate Spain’s victory – but it looks like it’s going to be a rare regional exclusive.

Spain bested Argentina in a dour World Cup final over 120 minutes (regular time plus extra time), adding a second star to their shirts following their win in 2010. The LEGO Group clearly had trophies ready to go for whichever nation emerged victorious, though, as 4000351 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy – Champions Edition landed on LEGO.com only hours after Lamine Yamal and company sealed the trophy.

This exclusive variant of 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy includes 2,845 pieces – or three more than the regular version – and replaces the minifigure in the hidden diorama with a podium for the tiny World Cup trophy accessory, backed by a unique printed tile acknowledging the 2026 World Cup champions. The product description still references an ‘included minifigure’, but it’s nowhere to be seen in the official images…

The printed disc on the base of the trophy has also been updated to include 2026 ESPAÑA alongside the record of previous winners (from 1974 onwards). The production timeline required to create these new elements means you can’t get your hands on this trophy straight away, though: instead, it’s due to ship by October 1. It’s also only available at LEGO.com in Spain at the time of writing.

That makes it a rare example of a region-exclusive LEGO set that isn’t a promotional item, gift-with-purchase or convention exclusive – the exceptions to the LEGO Group’s self-imposed restriction on regional exclusives. There’s always a chance 4000351 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy – Champions Edition will be available in other countries later, but given it’s slated to retire by the end of 2026 as things stand, it seems unlikely.

Limited availability and regional exclusivity are all the conditions required for a rare and valuable LEGO set on the aftermarket, so chances are this one may be sought after in the years to come. And you can’t help but think the LEGO Group knows it, because it will retail for €199.99 in Spain – or €20 more than the standard 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy.
