Fans share LEGO Insiders Weekend castle orders getting cancelled
As the final day of LEGO Insiders Weekend 2025 dawns, frustrated fans are seeing orders with a specific set being cancelled suddenly.
It’s been a challenging weekend for fans hoping to score 20% off 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle worldwide. While the promising discount went live at midnight in various regions for the start of the member-exclusive shopping event, many regions saw the reduced castle creation sell out completely within a matter of minutes, with only the UK having at least some remaining stock, though it is temporarily unavailable

Those who were able to order 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle would theoretically go on to receive double points on the discounted price and two gifts-with-purchase as part of the LEGO Insiders Weekend deals. Unfortunately, many fans online are reporting bad news on the second day of the event, and things aren’t seemingly going as planned.
Multiple posts on the LEGO Reddit, with screenshots from the official online store as evidence, are reporting that part of their LEGO Insiders Weekend orders have been cancelled, specifically the part including 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle. The gifts-with-purchase remain in some orders, despite fans not spending anything on these sets, since the money won’t be taken for the castle creation.
Whether the gifts-with-purchase will show up at their door eventually has yet to be seen, but in the meantime, one user reports managing to get a response from the LEGO Group’s customer service to explain the situation.
The shared response states that 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle has been oversold, and that the LEGO Group cannot meet the demand for the model, despite accepting the original orders during the LEGO Insiders Weekend. It also states that it’s unlikely that the orders will be fulfilled, potentially including the gifts-with-purchase.
Comments under this post are understandably frustrated, with many more sharing that their orders of 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle have similarly been cancelled, even though they ordered just after midnight on November 22. This would be just moments after the event started and the 20% discount went live.
“I still am amazed at how lousy the online experience is at Lego.com on busy days,” shared NecessaryRhubarb. “I was in the waiting room, placed the order at 12:00am and received the confirmation email at 12:01am. It was cancelled today. Regardless of any history or previous opportunities or whatever, taking the order, confirming the order, then cancelling the order is sloppy at best.”
It’s not just copies of 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle that are reportedly being cancelled, either, with a retiring LEGO DC model claimed to be facing similar troubles.
“My 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City was also cancelled. I should still get the GWPs since I ordered another set with it to get to $250,” said Davexa.
It’s an undoubtedly frustrating situation for fans, and while we wait to see whether or not 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle will receive another restock before the end of the LEGO Insiders Weekend 2025 in the UK, there are plenty of other offers available to take advantage of for one more day.

Guys, just download the instructions from the leo website for free, then at the end of the doc they list all the pieces and piece numbers and quantity. Order all the pieces, and there you go, your lion knights castle
This happened to me last year with the UCS AT-AT, my order was cancelled then about 1-2 days later. There was a restock and it happened again. Lesson learned. Feel bad for all these folks.
Be nice if Lego would upgrade the servers from 1992. Probably can’t afford it.
I ordered it at midnight, have a confirmation email from Lego at 12:01 a.m. saying they had the order and it had processed, followed by one at 12:09 a.m. officially confirming my order and saying it had been processed.
I ordered the Batman set, too, which was listed as backordered when I paid. It was shown as being on backorder for several days prior anyway, but I figured I’d try. I’m in the US, btw. I got an email around 5 a.m. saying that the castle and gwp would ship before the Batman set.
At 2:11 p.m. on Saturday, I received an email saying that my order had been canceled. It was only referring to the castle, however. I was (and still am) super frustrated and upset about the entire situation. They handled it poorly and haven’t actually addressed the situation (at least not that I’ve seen.)
I reached out via chat around 3:30 p.m. yesterday and was told that Lego is “letting” us keep the gwp’s for the inconvenience. I was told that “a handful” of orders were canceled because it took the system too long to catch up with itself and that they weren’t canceled until Saturday afternoon because someone at the warehouse had to physically verify that they were oversold.
I asked the rep how they determined whose got canceled, since there would have been many orders that came through at the exact same millisecond, and the rep said that they didn’t know how it was determined. Earlier in the convo, they told me that they would have been canceled going backwards from the last order that was allowed through. I feel it’s fairly logical to assume that multiple would have been ordered at the exact same moment, though. I was basically given hollow-feeling platitudes (thoughts and prayers type stuff.)
The rep put 2500 insider points into my account and then ended the chat. Seeing that other people aren’t even sure their gwp’s are shipping makes me think that Lego did a crap job of informing their employees about what the plan was.
Meanwhile, the Batman set and gwp’s have shipped, but this whole situation is messed up and very disappointing.
I ordered. Got the confirmation and notice of delay. They showed my other stuff i ordered including the gwp, but charged me shipping DESPITE my total order being over $300. Then they emailed canceling my castle. So frustrated.
Awful situation.
I was under the impression that I had secured the Castle set for 14 hours. When I received the cancellation email, the other options I was interested in purchasing we’re already sold out.
This story is bigger than just missing out on the Castle or Batman sets.
Could be because they tried to order more than 1???? as there is usually a limit on sets like these
Sorry, not the case. I ordered 1 at 12:07 am. When I checked later, it had been cancelled. Same thing happened last year with the UCS AT-AT.
Hey, did you guys go in right at 12am? Did you figure in for a possible time difference, and that’s why you got cancelled it, for being in too late?
I am in the central US time zone, so for me at 11:01AM I ordered the castle after being qued for a whole minute. I got confirmation emails of my order and the next morning the cancelation email got sent out. Total garbage service coming from Lego. Why even bother offering the set for sale if the stock is so low that it will sell out at midnight exactly on the dot. Or worse, a bunch of scalpers bought them up and are now selling them on ebay for $700.
The best is to let those $700 castle sit there, in the hands of scalpers, and see them cringe after spending $350 to acquire it and NOT sell as fast (or at all!) as they thought they would! Watch the price come down then! It has happened to other retired sets, and i love watching it happen, lol!
