Fastest remote-controlled LEGO Technic set rumoured

The rumoured LEGO Technic 42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance is now believed to be the fastest remote-controlled set as more details surface.

Maxbautde on Instagram reports that the rumoured LEGO Technic 42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance is going to be the fastest remote-controlled LEGO set ever released and could feature a potentially brand new feature for LEGO Technic.

It’s believed that 42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance will not only be joining the list of remote-controlled LEGO Technic sets but be faster than all of them using 838 pieces and electronic elements for €169.99. Rumour has it that the model is racing onto shelves on August 1, 2024.

As a recreation of a race car, 42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance being the fastest of the LEGO remote-controlled sets would make sense but it’s also rumoured to feature working rear and front lights. While working lights aren’t entirely new for LEGO sets, we can’t recall any other LEGO Technic models that have integrated them so realistically.

That’s not all though as the rumour is that the entirety of the model will be rechargeable via USB, instead of using batteries that would need to be replaced. The post mentions that the functions are controlled via your phone, which is the norm for newer LEGO Technic sets.

It’s an exciting rumour for LEGO Technic but should still be taken with caution until more is confirmed. Should it be accurate, this would be the next stage of LEGO Technic’s evolution and set an interesting precedent for future models.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
