First official images of LEGO Marvel Captain America sets spotted

Two upcoming LEGO Marvel Captain America sets have been revealed early by an online retailer, offering the first official look at the sets.

UK retailer Smyths Toys has offered us the first proper look at both 76292 Captain America vs. Red Hulk Battle and 76296 New Captain America Construction Figure. The former comes with a hefty price tag of £49.99, which likely translates to $54.99 in the US, for just 223 pieces – a price likely the result of the inclusion of a big-fig Red Hulk.

The latter is a buildable figure of Captain America's new look, wings and all. It's likely that these sets will release in December 2024, judging from this reveal from a third-party retailer, but that's not confirmed just yet. Read on for all the details we do know about the two newly revealed LEGO Marvel sets.

76292 Captain America vs. Red Hulk Battle

Price: £49.99 / $54.99 / €XX Pieces: 223 Release date: TBC

Also included in 76292 Captain America vs. Red Hulk Battle are three minifigures, including Captain America and Falcon (both with posable wings), and Ruth Bat-Seraph. Featuring an opening cockpit with room inside for a minifigure pilot, the brick-built jet is geared towards play, coming complete with two stud shooters.

The big-fig Red Hulk sports torn black shorts and some bright red muscles, teasing the arrival of a new Hulk on the block. Both he and Ruth Bat-Seraph will make their MCU debut in Captain America: Brave New World, due for release on 14 February, 2025.

76296 New Captain America Construction Figure

Price: £29.99 / $34.99 / €XX Pieces: 359 Release date: TBC

Built to what appears to be the same scale as 76258 Captain America Construction Figure, with a similar piece count and a slightly cheaper price, 76296 New Captain America Construction Figure brings Sam Wilson's Captain America suit to life, wings and all. The shield looks to be the same as in the 76258, continuing the legacy but the blue of the suit seems to be brighter.

The arms, legs, and heads are full posable, and you can detach the foil wings for when your Captain America prefers to keep his feet firmly on the ground.
