An online retailer has published the first official images of LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71046 Series 26, which is themed entirely around LEGO Space characters.
Hot on the heels of January’s 71045 Series 25 comes 71046 Series 26, another collection of 12 original characters devised by the LEGO Group. The Minifigure Store has uploaded initial images of the complete dozen to its Facebook page and the retailer's online storefront, courtesy of the LEGO Retailer asset hub, showcasing the next series of minifigures due on shelves. As long rumoured, this series is anchored to the LEGO Group’s foray into space in 2024, which already spans themes including City, Technic, Friends, DREAMZzz and more. The resulting mix of minifigures is made up of both original designs and throwbacks to retro LEGO Space themes, such as M-Tron and Ice Planet – a pair of ‘90s subthemes that have not had much love during the recent Classic Space revival.
Also present here are fun new characters such as a businessman being piloted by tiny green aliens, an alien tourist that’s just a little bit reminiscent of American Dad’s Roger, an android with the first-ever pink SpaceBaby, a modern astronaut and a bug-like alien that feels like the lead-in to a LEGO Star Wars Admiral Trench minifigure.
71046 Series 26 will be available from May 1 as stated on the listing, and will be followed in September by a series tied to Dungeons & Dragons.
