First Loki Season 2 MCU trailer and poster land online

The first trailer and poster for Loki Season 2 have dropped online, teasing the return of major Marvel Cinematic Universe characters in the Disney+ show.

Hot on the heels of the final episode of Secret Invasion, Disney has debuted the first trailer for the second season of Loki, which premieres on its streaming platform on October 6. The six-episode series sees Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson back as Loki and Mobius M. Mobius, while Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino and Wunmi Mosaku all reprise their roles from the first season.

The trailer also teases the return of Jonathan Majors as a new variant of Kang the Conqueror, having made his debut in the show’s first season in 2021 before appearing again in this year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The actor’s future in the MCU has since been up in the air following his arrest in March over allegations of assault, but filming of Loki Season 2 apparently wrapped before those allegations came to light.

It looks like Majors’ Kang will still play a pretty prominent role in the upcoming season as a result – regardless of where Disney and Marvel decide to take things from here – amid a backdrop of time-slipping hijinks involving the god of mischief. Hit play above to watch the first trailer, and check out the first poster for Loki Season 2 below.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
