First look at free LEGO Ideas 21348 Dungeons & Dragons adventure book
A first look at the free adventure book launching alongside the upcoming 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale has been revealed.
The 56th LEGO Ideas set was officially revealed yesterday, with eager fans of the iconic tabletop game finally getting a long-awaited look at 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale. The 3,745-piece model will be priced at £314.99 / $359.99 / €359.99 and arrives on April 1 for LEGO Insiders members first, followed by a wider launch on April 4.
21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale is based on a fan design by Lucas Bolt and was the winning entry in a LEGO Ideas contest created in collaboration with D&D publisher Wizards of the Coast. In addition to the LEGO Ideas set, a free Mimic Dice Box GWP (reviewed here) will be available from April 1 to 7 for those who buy the massive model, plus fans can grab a bonus promotional item that’s also being released to celebrate the launch.
A special Dungeons & Dragons adventure book – complete with character sheets, digital dice and more – will be up for grabs as a free digital download for LEGO Insiders and via D&D Beyond from April 1. The book can also be obtained as a physical printed copy by LEGO Insiders for 2,700 points (while stocks last) and has been exclusively designed for the set by Wizards of the Coast.
The paperback book itself can be partially glimpsed in an image promoting an upcoming live Game Night event taking place on April 6 that utilises 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale. In addition, the cover of the book has also been officially revealed on LEGO.com, featuring the same colourful artwork style currently being used by D&D Beyond’s Twitter account.
All of 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale’s six minifigure characters (and some of its monsters) are featured on the cover, although there’s no indication at this stage as to what exactly will be included inside or the extent of the book’s pagination.
21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale will launch exclusively for LEGO Insiders members from April 1, priced at £314.99 / $359.99 / €359.99. The LEGO Ideas model will then be available to everyone else from April 4. To find out everything you need to know about the upcoming set, be sure to check out our full review here.
