First look at LEGO Speed Champions F1 Academy 2026 car

The LEGO Formula 1 page has teased another new Speed Champions racer presumably coming in 2026, this time based on F1 Academy.

LEGO Speed Champions is already branching out beyond the starting grid next year with 77252 APXGP Team Race Car, based on Brad Pitt’s 2025 F1 movie, and this F1 Academy racer looks set to further push the envelope past 2025’s 10-strong line-up of Formula 1 cars. It would be fair to assume that this is the set being teased by the LEGO Group for a reveal at the Las Vegas Grand Prix this weekend.

While F1 Academy has ‘F1’ in the title, it’s actually a Formula 4-level championship, so the car here should look slightly different to the 2025 line-up. We’ve only got a side view from the LEGO.com splash page, but the livery looks like a colourful mash-up of LEGO and F1 Academy branding, complete with the LEGO logo and the number 32 (perhaps referencing the founding year of the LEGO Group, 1932).

A banner on the Formula 1 page reads ‘pre-order the LEGO Speed Champions F1 ACADEMY LEGO Race Car’, so it sounds like you’ll be able to secure your copy of this one very soon. Keep an eye on Brick Fanatics for more on this latest LEGO Speed Champions set as we get it – perhaps over the next few days during the Las Vegas Grand Prix – and check out the full line-up revealed for 2026 so far below.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
