First official images of new LEGO Technic summer sets

A Japanese catalogue that has since been taken down gave us our first look at some new LEGO Technic sets for the summer.

The two new LEGO Technic sets, 42128 Heavy-Duty Tow Truck and 42129 Mercedes-Benz 4×4 Zetros, are likely to go on sale in August this year. 42129 Mercedes-Benz 4 × 4 Zetros is the larger of the two, at 2,108 parts. The build is very close to a real-life Zetros, with the likeness of the vehicle being used by the LEGO Group under license from Daimler.

42128 Heavy-Duty Tow Truck is just slightly smaller, at 2,017 parts. The build has hooks on the back, so you could easily pair it up with some other LEGO Technic vehicles to rescue them from deep waters or sticky mud. The crane is movable and extends from the back of the truck, much like a real tow truck.

Both builds include sticker details down the side, with LEGO Technic’s customary bright colours and snappy names. According to Promobricks, 42128 Heavy-Duty Tow Truck will retail for €149.99 and 42129 Mercedes-Benz 4 × 4 Zetros for €299.99.
