Star Wars Celebration 2023 continues with a panel dedicated to the Ahsoka series, revealing casting details, returning elements and more.
With the first trailer and a release window of August 2023 revealed, Ahsoka is a focus of Star Wars Celebration 2023 and the show’s panel has recently finished, revealing even more details for the show.
Here are five things that we learned about Ahsoka from Star Wars Celebration’s dedicated panel for the Disney+ series:
5 – Morgan Elsbeth’s background will be explored
As detailed by those in attendance at the panel and teased in the trailer, Morgan Elsbeth has been confirmed for the Ahsoka series, following a rumour from Promobricks that she would be included in 75364 – believed to be an Ahsoka build.
The series will explore her background after she appeared in The Mandalorian and the trailer, she’s featured in the golden interior where Thrawn also stands.
4 – Sabine will use Ezra’s lightsaber
Following the finale of Star Wars: Rebels, Sabine Wren will wield Ezra’s Lightsaber in Ahsoka.
Provided they can find him, it will at least be convenient to return it. It could also affect Sabine’s minifigure in the rumoured 75362 Ahsoka’s T-6 Shuttle
3 – There are more Purgil in Ahsoka

The Mandalorian featured them briefly as Din Djarin and Grogu travelled in the third season, but there will be more Purgil in Ahsoka.
The hyperspace-capable creatures were an important part of the Star Wars: Rebels finale and were featured in an exclusive trailer showcased at the panel.
2 – David Tennant returns as Professor Huyang

The trailer for Ahsoka has confirmed that Professor Huyang will return in the series and the droid is rumoured for 75362.
The panel announced that David Tennant is voicing the droid again as he did in The Clone Wars.
1 – Lars Mikkelsen is Thrawn

The biggest reveal from the panel, aside from the trailer which has not been shared online, is the confirmation that Lars Mikkelsen is playing Thrawn in the series.
Mikkelsen voiced the villain in Star Wars: Rebels and it’s another strong connection between the animated series and the upcoming live-action show.
