Former LEGO Harry Potter designer reveals they worked on Disney anniversary sets
A LEGO Designer who formerly worked on the LEGO Harry Potter theme has revealed they have been working on the LEGO Disney 100 Anniversary sets.
Marcos Bessa moved away from his role as the Design Lead for LEGO Harry Potter back in 2021, marking the end of a three-year tenure within the theme that began when it returned to shelves around the world. Now, he announced on Instagram that he’s been working with a ‘talented and super fun’ team to put together the LEGO Disney sets designed to celebrate its 100-year anniversary.
“For over a year now I’ve been working with a talented and super fun group of people on some incredible LEGO sets that makes the Disney superfan in me SO EXCITED!” he wrote on his Instagram Stories. “Can’t wait for you to see them all!”
The designer then shared a link encouraging people to read more via the LEGO Group’s official press release. So far, only LEGO 40622 Disney 100th Celebration BrickHeadz have been confirmed as part of the celebratory sets, but judging from references to sets that will appeal to both classic and younger fans, we can likely expect more.
Here’s a rundown of every LEGO Disney set, both rumoured and confirmed, on its way in 2023.
