Free LEGO Harry Potter polybag coming to Smyths Toys for Back to Hogwarts day

Smyths Toys will be celebrating this year’s Back to Hogwarts day by giving away free LEGO Harry Potter 30706 Quidditch Lesson polybags.

The 27-piece polybag includes a unique Harry Potter minifigure in a black striped jumper, a chest to store Quidditch balls, a stud shooter to fire them and a statue to fire them at. What’s somehow not included in this Quidditch-themed polybag is a broomstick, so you’ll have to make up your own game for Harry to play, but it is an easy way to add a new and exclusive minifigure to your Wizarding World collection.

Smyths Toys Superstores will be giving away one polybag per person on Saturday August 30 from 9am to mark this year’s Back to Hogwarts day. You don’t need to buy anything to get your hands on it, though that’s obviously what Smyths is hoping you’ll do while there, and there are a bunch of new LEGO Harry Potter sets on shelves now.

LEGO Harry Potter 30706 Quidditch Lesson 1024x768

Maybe the best companion for 30706 Quidditch Lesson is 76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons, which does in fact include several broomsticks, along with a slice of Hogwarts and minifigures of Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, Draco Malfoy, Oliver Wood, Professor McGonagall and Madam Hooch. It’s available now for £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 and also makes a great foundation for a Castle and/or Pirates model

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
