Free LEGO Valentine’s Day cards and roses available in February

LEGO Stores around the world will be spreading the love next month, with free Valentine’s Day cards and buildable roses up for grabs on a first-come, first-served basis.

The most romantic time of the year is almost upon us once again, and for most of us reading this story, that means the perfect opportunity to bond over building LEGO. (Don’t say that isn’t your dream date night.) The LEGO Group will happily help facilitate this year, with free buildable LEGO roses and Valentine’s Day cards available in-store.

Each pack of Valentine’s Day cards contains four different designs, anchored around seasonally-appropriate LEGO sets including 40460 Roses, 40461 Tulips, 40522 Valentine Lovebirds and 40638 Heart Ornament. They’ll be available to collect from your local LEGO Store from February 4 to 14, while stocks last.

You’ll need to head down at specific times to come away with a free LEGO rose, however: the build event will take place on February 11 at 10am to 12pm, and on February 12 from 12pm to 2pm. A limited quantity of models will be available each day, and – like the cards – they’re limited to one per person.

The buildable rose doesn’t quite match up to the very cool pair available in 40460 Roses, but you can always grab that pocket money-priced set while you’re there too (provided it’s in stock). Which we’re sure is all part of the LEGO Group’s plan. But hey – if you want an extra Valentine’s Day gift for that special someone, there are plenty of bricks to go around.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
