Future LEGO Ideas GWP confirmed in results of nostalgic competition

The LEGO Ideas team has announced the winners of the Twist of Nostalgia competition, confirming a future fan-designed gift-with-purchase.

The Grand Prize Winner of the Twist of Nostalgia competition has been officially announced, confirming that their design will become a future LEGO Ideas GWP. The winner is Sea Serpent by HallowedBrick02, coming out on top in a competition with more than 750 entries.

The set is inspired by LEGO Castle, featuring three Black Knights making their return in a modernised version of 1992’s 6057 Sea Serpent. The competition asked fan builders to recreate classic LEGO sets with a modern angle, HallowedBrick02 has updated the old favourite with new functionality, including workable rudders, a cargo hold below deck, and a modular stern, allowing for safer storage of buildable cargo.

As well as officially becoming a LEGO fan designer, the winner will get 10 complimentary copies of their LEGO Ideas set, as well as 21347 Red London Telephone Box, 31147 Retro Camera, 10334 Retro Radio, 21343 Viking Village, 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle, 21342 The Insect Collectio, 10355 Blacktron Renegade, and 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure.

Two runners-up were also recognised by the LEGO Ideas team, earning themselves a smaller pack of LEGO sets as a reward for their builds: Power Miners: Super Mine Mech by LssjChloe and M:TRON Pulsar Charging Station by BrikkeLasse.
