76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck is sold out on LEGO.com

The first full LEGO set based on the PlayStation-exclusive Horizon Forbidden West has already sold out hours after going live on the online store.

It seems safe to say that the first LEGO set made in partnership with PlayStation has gone down well today as just after the initial launch of 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck, you can no longer order it temporarily in two regions, and it’s on back order in another.

In the UK and Europe, 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck is temporarily out of stock, meaning orders have already made their way through all current stock of the model. In the US, it’s currently on back order with a shipping delay of 60 days.

Considering the relatively niche market for the model, even though the first game sold more than 20 million copies, this comes as a surprise as it suggests that there is more demand for LEGO PlayStation sets than you might have expected.

Also out of stock in the UK and Europe as of May 1, 2022, is 71035 The Muppets 6 pack, though the single bags of 71033 The Muppets are still available worldwide.

May the 4th, arguably the biggest LEGO Star Wars event in the year, has started on the official online store and you can find out everything you need to know about this year’s version by heading over to our dedicated hub.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
