Huge 20% off LEGO Ideas 21335 Motorised Lighthouse at John Lewis
Budding lighthouse-keepers can ply their trade in miniature form without breaking the bank thanks to John Lewis’s latest LEGO sale, which includes 20% off 21335 Motorised Lighthouse.
Released under the LEGO Ideas banner last year (and based on a concept by Sandro Quattrini), 21335 Motorised Lighthouse is the biggest and best LEGO lighthouse to date, which is no mean feat given just how many the LEGO Group has churned out over the years. It usually retails for £259.99, but is currently available at John Lewis for only £207.99.

John Lewis is the exclusive third-party retailer of 21335 Motorised Lighthouse, which means it’s only otherwise available at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores, where you’re unlikely to ever see it discounted. That makes this the best current price for the 2,065-piece set, which includes two minifigures, a rowboat, a light brick, battery box, motor, cable and unique Fresnel lens element to bring the scene to life.
Once it’s all hooked up and powered on, it does everything you’d expect a lighthouse to do: rotate its light 360 degrees to warn ships off rocks, while focusing its beam with the help of the tiny Fresnel lens. Watching it do its thing is genuinely quite relaxing (although maybe grab some noise-cancelling headphones if you’re after perfect quiet – its motor isn’t silent), not to mention satisfying.
A £52 saving is nothing to balk at, and brings 21335 Motorised Lighthouse down to a much more agreeable price-per-piece ratio (the electronics are basically free at this point). Live out your dreams of keeping a lighthouse by heading over to John Lewis while the going’s good. Just remember to supply your own seagull.

Author Profile
- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
