Hunt for gold and become a LEGO Insiders millionaire

LEGO Insiders has officially replaced the VIP program and to celebrate, you can become a LEGO Insiders millionaire by finding a golden brick.

Much like something out of Willy Wonka, the search for the golden bricks is on and it’s sure to be an especially competitive race to win millions of prizes. From now until October 2, you can scan as bricks using augmented reality to potentially win a prize. There’s a lot to score in this massive campaign, including multiple chances to win one million LEGO Insiders points.

This campaign is only live in Australia, Canada, Denmark (not Greenland and the Faeroe Islands), Metropolitan France (not French Overseas Departments or Territories, or Monaco), Germany (not Heligoland), New Zealand, South Korea, the United Kingdom (excluding channel islands and the Isle of Man) and the United States.

The grand prize is a whopping one million LEGO Insiders points for nine people worldwide every week over six weeks, equivalent to £7,000 / $9000 / €8,200 / CAD$12,000 / AUD$13,250 / NZD$14,500 / DKK 60,500 / KRW 11475000 to spend on LEGO.com.

That’s enough to get any of the most expensive LEGO sets currently available several times over, including 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell, 10294 Titanic, 10307 Eiffel Tower and more. Alternatively, that’s over 350 copies of 75359 332nd Ahsoka’s Clone Trooper Battle Pack for the ultimate LEGO Star Wars army (the amount varies depending on your region).

Nine winners of this jackpot will be announced every week until October 2 and to enter, you’ll need to scan as many LEGO System bricks as you can find for a chance to reveal a golden LEGO brick and win. You don’t necessarily need to own the bricks, as it’s been confirmed that you can scan pieces in demonstration tables in LEGO stores.

To keep things fair for the grand prizes, an entry cannot be counted more than once and there’s a maximum of one entry into the prize draw per person each week. There will be 54 winners in total over the six-week promotional period, with one per week from each participating country.

There’s no limit on how many bricks you can scan for a chance to find a winning golden digital brick each day. However, only System pieces are eligible to be scanned and further terms and conditions are available here.

Prizes other than the jackpot of one million points include 1,600,000 digital downloads of colouring sheets, with eight varieties available, 100,001 codes for an exclusive torso in LEGO Tower and 100,000 digital comic books for LEGO Star Wars, Spider-Man and Batman respectively.

Winners will be notified immediately and receive a unique code to redeem their prize on the LEGO Insiders website, much like you could with the LEGO VIP program.

It’s not the first time that one million points have been given away to spend on LEGO.com, though it is the first for LEGO Insiders. The race to find the golden bricks starts now and lasts until October 2.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
