Iconic characters to make using LEGO Dungeons & Dragons minifigures

The LEGO Dungeons & Dragons minifigures can make up many more characters from shows and games, using the new prints and pieces.

71047 Dungeons & Dragons is now available with 12 minifigures to collect but you might be convinced to grab some more of the minifigures to make some characters from the Forgotten Realms and beyond. From Critical Role to Doctor Who, we've had some fun with the new LEGO D&D minifigures, and you can aim for specific pieces using Brick Search's minifigure scanner.

Using minifigures solely from 71047 Dungeons & Dragons as well as the occasional element from another set, here are five iconic characters you can make using the new LEGO Dungeons & Dragons minifigures.

Gale Dekarios (Baldur's Gate 3)

You likely won't be surprised to see the hit RPG Baldur's Gate 3 have a few spots on this list. There's more than just The Emperor and Us to make though. Using the Tiefling Sorcerer's purple robes as a base and mixing in Sirius Blacks' head and hair, you can make a convincing depiction of Gale Dekarios. The transparent pink accessory is useful for a spell being cast too.

The most recent Sirius Black minifigure is in the retired 76408 12 Grimmauld Place and we've specifically used his head from 75945 Expecto Patronum. Hopefully, it won't be long until LEGO Harry Potter returns to this character for those who missed out on these models.

Lady Kima of Vord (Critical Role)

Using pieces wholly from 71047 Dungeons & Dragons, you can create a great minifigure of Lady Kima of Vord from Critical Role. This minifigure is based on her appearance in The Legend of Vox Machina specifically, complete with a scar on the minifigure's face (admittedly in the wrong place).

71047 Dungeons & Dragons has two minifigures that you'll need for this custom creation. Pick up the Dwarf Barbarian and the Dragonborn Paladin and maybe consider switching the axe for a custom hammer using extra elements from beyond the minifigure series.

Lae'zel (Baldur's Gate 3)

Sticking solely to 71047 Dungeons & Dragons, Lae'zel is our next companion from Baldur's Gate 3 recreated as a custom minifigure. This time, we've combined the Gith Warlock and the Dragonborn Paladin but without the extra armour.

Should you have it, the torso from 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale's Fighter minifigure may work better here, at the cost of the arm printing. Still, you can tell that this is Laezel and even the face details match.

Ood (Doctor Who)

Using the Gith Warlock's printed eye element, the Mind Flayer's head, a standard pair of black legs and a black torso can create a convincing LEGO Ood minifigure from Doctor Who.

It's a thought that many may have had after the reveal of 71047 Dungeons & Dragons but we're pleased to report that this combination of elements works well for a LEGO Ood, though the head is the wrong colour. Get past that though and this minifigure will combine nicely with the retired LEGO Doctor Who sets.

Astarion Ancunín (Baldur's Gate 3)

Rounding out the list is another companion from Baldur's Gate 3 – Astarion Ancunín. This roguish character's minifigure uses the head of the Elf Bard and the clothing of the Gith Warlock (as well as the latter's spare knife).

The colour scheme of the clothing and white hair work perfectly for this minifigure and it wouldn't surprise us to learn that this is intentional from the design team.
