LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons challenge ends with huge number of entries

The LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons challenge has closed its entry period with a massive amount of entries compared to recent contests.

Times up for your opportunity to be the next LEGO Ideas fan designer for the Dungeons & Dragons set, unless you already submitted an entry into the most recent challenge on the platform.

The LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons challenge is no longer accepting entries with 621 potential models now in contention for a future LEGO Ideas set. First, they’ll need to impress a panel of judges from Wizards of the Coast and LEGO Ideas which will narrow down the 621 entries into a refined selection. From there, it’s entirely down to a fan vote. Everyone that makes it into the fan vote will receive a prize, but there can only be one official set.

Receiving 621 entries is no easy task for a LEGO Ideas challenge as that total far surpasses many of the most recent challenges. Of the latest challenges, back when they were still called contests, only one managed to beat that total with almost 1,000 submissions.

The blog post for the entry intake closing uses the same wording that could be hinting at a full LEGO Dungeons & Dragons theme and the high number of entries may demonstrate that there is an interest in more LEGO Dungeons & Dragons. However, only one set based on the tabletop roleplaying game has been confirmed for now, though you shouldn’t expect it for some time as the 50th anniversary of the game isn’t until 2024.

Next up on LEGO Ideas is the fan vote for this challenge on November 28 and the winner announcement no later than December 19. The blog post is also teasing another challenge starting soon on LEGO Ideas.
