Largest LEGO Chinese Traditional Festivals wave coming in 2023
The next range of LEGO Chinese Traditional Festivals models is the largest yet, adding to the long list of every LEGO Lunar New Year build.
As recently announced, the 2023 LEGO Chinese Traditional Festivals sets have been confirmed as the largest annual range yet. You’ll be able to pick them up starting on December 25, 2022. However, in the meantime, we’ve prepared a list of every LEGO Chinese Traditional Festivals model ever. This doesn’t include the Monkie Kid creations occasionally revealed alongside them.
5 – 2019
The first LEGO Chinese Traditional Festivals sets arrived in Asia in 2019, following the annual animal builds. The initial wave was made up of 80101 Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner, 80102 Dragon Dance and 80103 Dragon Boat Race. This also started the journey of a family of minifigures. 80103 Dragon Boat eventually made its way overseas too, kickstarted the seasonal models’ wide availability.
4 – 2020
2020’s LEGO Chinese Traditional Festivals models were the first to be widely available outside of Asia and included just two sets – 80104 Lion Dance, 80105 Chinese New Year Temple Fair
3 – 2021
Debuting the first LEGO DUPLO Chinese Traditional Festivals set, 2021 included one of the most interesting models in the seasonal selection with 80107 Spring Lantern Festival being compatible with the Modular Buildings Collection.
2 – 2022
Featuring just two models, 80108 Lunar New Year Traditions and 80109 Lunar New Year Ice Festival, 2022’s range introduced new concepts for the seasonal waves with colourful and creative builds.
1 – 2023
Made up of 10411 Learn About Chinese Culture, 40648 Money Tree, 80110 Lunar New Year Display and 80111 Lunar New Year Parade, the 2023 wave of LEGO Chinese Traditional Festivals sets is the largest yet. It consists of one DUPLO model, two seasonal builds and the money tree with an unfamiliar set numbering for Chinese Traditional Festivals sets.
