Today is your last chance to help decide five future LEGO sets in the second series of the BrickLink Designer Program.
The voting window for Series 2’s 190 submissions closes June 30 at 12pm PT, or 8pm UK time. That means you’ve got a matter of hours left to cast your discerning eye over each and every one of these potential future LEGO sets, five of which will become available to crowdfund in June 2024. You can cast your vote in one of three ways: ‘Not for me’, ‘Like it’ or ‘Love it’.
Votes from BrickLink members won’t outright determine the five successful projects, however. Instead, they’ll simply influence the final decision made by BrickLink’s judges, who will also be checking against criteria such as brand fit and building experience. The finalists will be revealed on August 23, at which point the LEGO Group and BrickLink will begin collaborating with the designers to get their models production-ready.
Crowdfunding for the five sets will kick off in June next year, and all models that receive at least 3,000 pre-orders will enter production (with a maximum of 20,000 copies of each set available, and no more than two per household). They’ll then start shipping to backers from November 2024, although BrickLink notes that ‘actual dates and shipping times may vary’.
Head over to BrickLink to check out all 190 designs in Series 2, which range from nostalgic castles and modular buildings to vehicles, animals and kinetic sculptures. You can find some of our top picks from this round here. Remember, you’ve only got until 8pm UK time today to cast your votes.
Five sets from the first series of the BrickLink Designer Program are currently in the design phase, and will begin crowdfunding in February 2024.
