LEGO 10295 Porsche 911 owners’ pack gift-with-purchase cancelled in North America

The LEGO Group has cancelled the 10295 Porsche 911 owners’ pack gift-with-purchase in North America due to ‘shipping challenges’.

The exclusive pack was originally meant to go live tomorrow, February 16, alongside the VIP launch of the 2-in-1 set. But the promised bonus for early adopters has been pulled at the last minute in the US and Canada, leaving little incentive to pick up 10295 Porsche 911 on day one.

No explanation has been given beyond a vague mention of ‘shipping challenges’, which isn’t a whole lot to go on. Those issues haven’t affected the planned VIP launch of the set itself, though, which will still be available to order from tomorrow at LEGO.com, almost two weeks ahead of its general release on March 1.

These unspecified challenges have only interrupted the promo’s availability in North America, so if you’re based in the UK, Europe or basically any other territory, you’ll still be able to secure the owners’ pack by ordering 10295 Porsche 911 from tomorrow.

The gift-with-purchase includes an official LEGO Porsche card wallet, a certificate of ownership and four unique art prints based on classic Porsche 911 ads, all of which you’ll be able to store inside a collector’s wallet.

LEGO 10295 Porsche 911 will launch exclusively for VIP members at LEGO.com tomorrow. If you haven’t yet signed up to the VIP program, you should: it costs nothing to do so, you’ll earn loyalty points to spend on future purchases, and you’ll get early access to sets like 10295 Porsche 911.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
