LEGO Icons 10341 Artemis and LEGO Ideas Saturn V compared

You might want to think twice before placing the LEGO Ideas Saturn V on 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System’s new launchpad.

10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System is now available widely, offering another detailed depiction of a NASA rocket following 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V‘s retirement. While the two sets should still pair well together, it’s now clear that one is much bigger than the other.

With one retired and one currently available, LEGO YouTuber JANGBRiCKS has both in hand and has demonstrated the huge size difference between the two rockets.

10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System features both the launch platform and the rocket within its 3,601 piece count while almost all of 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V‘s 1,969 elements go towards the rocket, partially explaining why the retired LEGO Ideas rocket is much taller.

The size difference is less noticeable when the two are laid down, though there’s little doubt that the LEGO Ideas rocket is bigger and for good reason.

The two rockets aren’t at the same scale as 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System‘s scale was determined by a single piece. This and the split piece count budget for the launchpad and the rocket in the 2024 model helps to explain the size difference.

At least we know for certain now that 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V won’t look right on the new launchpad, but it should still look good next to it.

10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System is available now for $259.99 across North America, £219.99 in the UK and €259.99 in mainland Europe and you can read our review of the set by clicking here. 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V is now retired after being re-released and you can read our review by clicking here.
