LEGO Ideas 21338 A-Frame Cabin includes unapproved project

The latest LEGO Ideas set, 21338 A-Frame Cabin includes a reference to another of the fan designer’s projects, one that was never approved.

LEGO Ideas 21338 A-Frame Cabin has plenty of references to other official Ideas models. It also has a strange piece of art above the bed depicting a cabin with circular windows and doors. It fits in with the tone of the set, being a cabin and you may be thinking that it’s an alternate build for 21338 A-Frame Cabin. However, it’s actually a reference to another of fan designer Andrea Lattanzio’s projects.

Not approved in the first 2022 LEGO Ideas review, this artwork with the circular windows and doors as well as the vehicle appears to be a reference to Santa’s Cottage with small changes removing the festive details but it’s otherwise an exact match the project.

Legomoleshow on Instagram theorists that this could be a sign that the cottage may be considered for an official build if 21338 A-Frame Cabin is received well enough. However, it’s also entirely likely that this is just a reference to another model designed by Andrea Lattanzio in the same way that other LEGO Ideas sets have included personal Easter eggs, such as 21326 Winnie the Pooh and Ben Alder.
