LEGO 2K Drive video reveals there’s more to the game than just racing

A new promotional video for the upcoming LEGO 2K Drive has revealed there’s much more to the video game than just fast-paced racing.

LEGO 2K Drive will be crossing the finish line in less than a month, with some versions of the highly-anticipated video game arriving as soon as May 16. The title is the first licensed LEGO project from the developer and looks set to deliver a fast-based racing experience across multiple platforms.

However, beating your opponents and winning on the track aren’t the only reasons to pick up the game. The latest ANN (Awesome News Network) video has now dropped, with hosts Vikki Wheeler and Parker Carr revealing details of some of the unique and downright bizarre challenges awaiting players in LEGO 2K Drive.

The footage shows off a few of the satisfying minigames that can be enjoyed, such as smashing into waves of attacking alien robots, hitting targets from a high-altitude launch point, dodging mines and pushing a giant egg into an equally huge frying pan. Another sequence reveals just why clowns are so scary and there’s even a breakneck game of red brick green brick, in which players have to cross the finishing line without being caught.

The latest ANN promotional video concludes with the show’s hosts hinting that there might be even more wacky challenges to explore, with Vikki cut short when mentioning the words ‘collect’ and ‘the time warp.’
