LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent proving hard to find

Stock of the newly-released LEGO Creator 3-in-1 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent seems to be in short supply in stores, but it’s still available online.

If you were at your local LEGO Store ripe and early this morning – as Brick Fanatics was – you might have clocked a glaring omission from shelves, in the shape of Creator 3-in-1’s resurrection of the classic LEGO Vikings theme. 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent was supposed to launch today alongside 81 other brand new sets, but it’s currently out of stock in LEGO Stores across the UK.

While we were told a shipment was possibly due in later today at our local store, that wasn’t guaranteed. And a quick search using LEGO.com’s online stock checker reveals that almost every single LEGO Store in the UK is still awaiting delivery of the 1,192-piece set, which recreates 2005’s 7018 Viking Ship challenges the Midgard Serpent.

At the time of writing, only the LEGO Stores in Watford, London Westfield and Newcastle have any stock of 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent. If you’re located anywhere else in the UK, you’ll need to head online to pick up your copy of the set – but thankfully, it’s still available at LEGO.com for the time being.

It’s hard to tell how quickly it’ll sell out, but it’s already out of stock at third-party retailer Smyths, both online and in-store. If you want to be among the first to get your hands on 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent, your best bet at this stage is probably grabbing it from LEGO.com as soon as you can.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
