LEGO 40449 Easter Bunny’s Carrot House available now

‘Tis the season (no, not that season) for the latest LEGO gift-with-purchase, 40449 Easter Bunny’s Carrot House, which is now available with qualifying purchases online.

You’ll need to spend £60 / $60 / €60 to pick up the 232-piece seasonal freebie, which builds into a bright orange carrot house for the Easter bunny (in case the name didn’t clue you in already).

Just as we noted in our review, though, the very premise of this set is a bit of a head-scratcher. Is the bunny living inside a house literally made of food? Or have they just modelled their living quarters after their favourite snack? (Can you imagine living in a giant bag of crisps, or – if you’re feeling particularly middle class this morning – a huge pot of hummus?)

If you’re happy giving this set way less thought than we have, head over to LEGO.com and top your basket up with at least £60 of goodies. That won’t be difficult to do given the number of new sets that launched on March 1, with plenty of new options across Star Wars, NINJAGO, Marvel, Monkie Kid, Friends, DOTS and more.

Better yet, top up your order by another £40 / $40 / €40 and you’ll also qualify for 40450 Amelia Earhart Tribute, which has been extended to March 17 – making this basically the best three-day window to order from LEGO.com in recent memory.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
