The next LEGO Chinese Traditional Festivals gift is rumoured, said to be continuing a tradition over a decade old.
Earlier this year, a suite of LEGO GWPs for Black Friday and beyond surfaced via brick_clicker and now lego_minecraft_goat on Instagram has chimed in with a report as to what one of these rumoured gifts could be.
According to the user, 40611 won't be a Christmas set as we speculated despite being reportedly available from the end of December. Instead, 40611 is said to be a Year of the Dragon model with 214 pieces.
Those familiar with the LEGO portfolio will know that every year, a Chinese Traditional Festivals set based on the animal for that year is offered as a gift near the start of the year. In 2023, this was 40575 Year of the Rabbit and following tradition, 2024's is rumoured to be 40611 Year of the Dragon. The collection started with 10250 Year of the Snake in 2013.
