LEGO 40689 Firework Celebrations GWP rumoured to be available soon

We may be getting 40689 Firework Celebrations as a LEGO gift-with-purchase later this month, if fresh rumours are to be believed.

Two new LEGO GWPs have been revealed today, with the official Australian online store featuring details of the freebie models. Both 40690 Tribute to Jules Verne’s Books and 40688 Trophy Award are currently up for grabs in that region, with the latest GWP offers due to expire on June 27, 2024.

The two promotional models will then be followed by yet another recently-revealed GWP set in the shape of 40689 Firework Celebrations, if the latest rumour is anything to go by. Instagram user itavixbrix (via brick_clicker) reports that the GWP is on its way soon, with alleged availability from June 28 to July 7.

40689 Firework Celebrations is said to be a free gift with purchases of £70/$80 on any LEGO sets, although those details have yet to be confirmed. The set is already listed on LEGO.com and valued at £12.99 / $14.99 / €14.99 with 184 pieces, including two minifigures.

40689 Firework Celebrations will also come with two small dioramas, one of which features stickers depicting fireworks plus brick-built explosions, while the other can be spun around.

Note that the LEGO Group has yet to reveal when 40689 Firework Celebrations will be available, so do take all of the above information with a pinch of salt until we know more about the upcoming GWP.
