LEGO 40785 Northern Lights Diorama gift with purchase review 2 1200x800

40785 Northern Lights Diorama is the fourth in a series of microscale scenes based around different locations and environments around the world, following on from February’s 40782 Tropical Rainforest Diorama, April’s 40783 Coral Reef Diorama, and July’s 40784 African Savanna Diorama.

As a collection, they are as varied as they are colourful, with 40785 Northern Lights Diorama no less of an addition to the line-up for its creativity and piece selection. That being said, it’s not the most interesting or intricate of the four to put together – that’s a tie between 40783 Coral Reef Diorama and 40784 African Savanna Diorama – but it does cap the collection off nicely.

And as a side note, delivering four thematically-linked GWP builds inside a single calendar year is a credit to the LEGO Group and the best way for mini-collections to really take hold with fans.

40785 Northern Lights Diorama is available between October 14 and 20, while stocks last, included in all orders made by LEGO Insiders who spend £135 / $150 / €150 or more at LEGO.com or in LEGO stores. During that same period, LEGO Insiders can also earn double Insiders Points on all purchases.

As one half of Tiro Media Ltd, I mix a passion for print and digital media production with a deep love of LEGO and can often be found on these pages eulogising about LEGO Batman, digging deeper into the LEGO Group’s inner workings, or just complaining about the price of the latest LEGO Star Wars set. Make a great impression when you meet me in person by praising EXO-FORCE as the greatest LEGO theme of all time. Follow me on Twitter @RobPaton or drop me an email at rob@brickfanatics.com.
