LEGO Disney 43227 Villain Icons might be hinting at future minifigures 

LEGO Disney’s 43227 Villain Icons and 71038 Disney 100 might offer hints at possible minifigures in the rumoured 43222 Disney Castle. 

LEGO Disney enthusiasts have been treated to plenty of new sets and minifigures for the 100th anniversary of the company, including four villains in the upcoming 43227 Villain Icons and 18 characters in 71038 Disney 100. 

Rumoured for later this year is 43222 Disney Castle with 12 minifigures reported and eight named in a recent rumour from Promobricks. This includes Snow White, Prince Florian, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Princess Aurora, Prince Philip, Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen. 

Some of these characters could pair well with Maleficent, the Evil Queen in Disguise, Gaston and Jafar Genie in 43227 Villain Icons. With four more spots in the rumoured 43222 Disney Castle left empty at the time of writing, Beauty and Beast could be an interesting inclusion to go with Gaston. So far, the duo have only had mini-dolls and a micro-doll each.

71038 Disney 100’s minifigure selection could also pair well with the minifigures reported for the rumoured 43222 Disney Castle with Tiana and Dr. Facilier for Naveen.  

At the time of writing, 43222 Disney Castle has yet to be officially confirmed and any minifigure selection for the rumoured set is just as unclear.  

For now, 71038 Disney 100 and 43227 Villain Icons’ new minifigures should work well together on display. 71038 Disney 100 is available now and 43227 Villain Icons launches on June 1, 2023.
