LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038 Disney 100 box distribution confirmed

Early reviews of LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038 Disney 100 have confirmed the exact box distribution for the new series of blind-bagged characters.

The third series of Disney-focused minifigures arrives on May 1 to celebrate the House of Mouse’s 100th anniversary, and includes a bumper 18 different characters. Among those are Pinocchio, Mulan, Baymax, Cruella de Vil and more – but they’re all still blind-bagged, so if you want to get your hands on a specific minifigure, there are only a few ways to do so.

One of those is simply feeling out the character you want, but if the post-pandemic landscape has put you off fondling plastic in public places, you’re left with two main options: either buy a complete box of minifigures, or hope to find an untouched box out in the wild. Distribution of specific characters is typically consistent across fresh boxes, so if you know the position of your faves, you’ll stand a much better chance of finding them.

A single box of 36 packets should contain two complete sets of 18 minifigures, so just buying a full box from a third-party retailer is a good way to guarantee getting your hands on the full batch of LEGO Disney 100th anniversary minifigures. (You could also split the costs with a friend and divide up the two sets between you.) If you’re only after a handful, though, Jay’s Brick Blog has now confirmed the full distribution of 71038 Disney 100 minifigures.

This layout isn’t necessarily guaranteed across every box, of course, but it’s hopefully a good starting point – even if it only reduces the amount of packet-fondling required. It’s potentially also the only method we’ll have left come September, and the rumoured second series of LEGO Marvel Collectible Minifigures, which is expected to be the first to switch to the new cardboard packaging.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
