LEGO Star Wars 75378 Grogu’s Escape gets another rumoured minifigure line-up

A fresh minifigure line-up for the rumoured LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 set 75378 Grogu’s Escape has surfaced online – and it doesn’t quite line up with previous reports.

Based on the flashback that saw Ahmed Best’s Kelleran Beq rescue a young(er) Grogu from the Jedi Temple, the Mando Season 3 set was previously reported to include both of those named characters alongside two Coruscant Guard Clone Troopers. The red-tinted soldiers returned with 75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship in September, before showing up again in the just-released 75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack.

Those rumours came from Instagram user exabrickslegogo_, who is usually pretty reliable, but a secondary source has now indicated that we won’t be getting another couple of Shock Troopers after all. According to 1414falconfan (via maxbautde), 75378 Grogu BARC Speeder Escape (as it’s apparently now called, though rumoured set names are generally placeholders) will include two 501st Legion Clone Troopers.

Standard 501st Legion soldiers have not been seen on shelves since 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers retired at the end of 2022, although all the necessary pieces to build them can currently be found between 75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack and 75359 332nd Ahsoka’s Clone Trooper Battle Pack. The two troopers supposedly included with 75378 are said to include helmet holes for accessories, matching the format of all current clones.

Kelleran Beq and Grogu are still believed to be included too – the set wouldn’t really make sense without them – while the model is now slated to include 221 pieces for $29.99. As previously rumoured, 75378 Grogu BARC Speeder Escape is eyeing a May 2024 release date, so you’ve got a little while before you’ll be able to add it to your collection… if it arrives as expected. Take this rumour lightly for now.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
