LEGO 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box may be best display set ever

The newly revealed LEGO 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box might just be the best set for display ever designed thanks to its unique look.

As the name suggests, 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box is a detailed Batcave build contained within a giant black box with the Batman logo as a cutout on the side.

That description might be a bit confusing, but official images clear it all up. Upon first impressions, there appears to be only one good angle to display this set when it is folded up. However, that might be to the set’s benefit in some specific circumstances.

76252 Batcave – Shadow Box, shelves and display cases might just be a match made in heaven. The boxed shape of this set is uniquely situated to fit into some shelves and display cases with little room to spare. This could be easily one of the most satisfying LEGO models to display in history.

It might still be functional too, if set up properly. 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box has knobs at the back of the build that activates various features around the front, visible through the bat cutout. As long as you have enough room behind on a shelf, you could turn these knobs and create an even better display.

That’s not to mention the multiple included light bricks for an extra dose of display value, contrasting with the otherwise dark design befitting Batman

LEGO 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box launches LEGO VIPs on June 5 at will be available to all on June 8 for £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99.  It measures 29 cm high, 51 cm wide and 14 cm deep, in case you need to prepare your shelf or case accordingly.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
